One Stone Family, Five Varieties
Most suppliers assemble “white limestone” from whatever lots are available. We work the other way around: one geological family, quarried and selected for consistency, offered in five varieties that differ in tone and figuring rather than in performance — Pearl White, Bianco Velo, Royal Cream, Citadel Alabaster and Crema Aurora. Specify any of the five and the certified property set below is the same stone family answering for it. That is what lets a designer match pool coping to field pavers to a bullnose stair tread years apart, from the same source.

Certified Performance, Stated the Honest Way
Every figure in this table comes from certified mill testing of the white limestone family — no typical ranges, no borrowed numbers.
| Property | Certified value (certified mill test) | ASTM C568 Type II threshold | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Density | 154.8 lb/ft³ (2.48 g/cm³) | 135–160 lb/ft³ | Within the Type II band |
| Water absorption | 1.61% | ≤ 7.5% | Governs freeze–thaw behaviour |
| Compressive strength | 4,850 psi (33.44 MPa) | ≥ 4,000 psi | — |
| Modulus of rupture | 1,073 psi (7.40 MPa) | ≥ 500 psi | Roughly double the minimum |
| Flexural strength | 7.31 MPa | — | C568 sets no flexural threshold |
| Abrasion resistance | 2.68 mm Böhme | — | Certified mill test (DIN 52108) |
| Wet DCOF, per finish | Will be published here | — | Method: ANSI A326.3 |
Read against the classification architects actually specify: ASTM C568 groups building limestone into three density classes, and our certified mill values meet every threshold C568 sets for Type II (medium-density) limestone — density inside the 135–160 lb/ft³ band, absorption far under the 7.5% ceiling, compressive strength above the 4,000 psi floor, modulus of rupture roughly double the 500 psi minimum. Where a project specification requires verification to a named ASTM method, test reports are arranged on request against the order.
Per-finish wet DCOF results (ANSI A326.3) will be published here.

Formats & Supply Programs
The family runs across every hardscape format, cut to order — Any Size. Any Thickness.
White limestone slabs — the volume format: large-format slabs and cut-to-size supply for fabricators, developers and wholesale buyers. White limestone pavers — exterior field paving for plazas, terraces and driveways. White limestone tiles — calibrated interior and exterior tile formats. White limestone pool pavers and pool coping — deck field and edge profiles from the same lots, so the waterline matches the deck.
Supply is container-scale and quarry-direct, with indicative pricing from $1.96/sq ft ex-works (indicative — final pricing quoted per order and specification). For distributor and trade terms, see the wholesale program or talk to us as your wholesale stone supplier.

Any Finish, Cut to Order
Every product in the family is available in any finish — brushed in several grits, bush-hammered, honed, polished, antique or tumbled — because finishing happens at fabrication, not at the catalogue. Two practical notes from our own guidance: for pool surrounds we recommend brushed or bush-hammered finishes, which give more underfoot texture than polished stone; and as a rule, choose a textured finish where surfaces will be wet. The full range is illustrated on our stone finishes page.

Freeze–Thaw & Exterior Use
Water absorption is the property that governs winter behaviour, and the family’s certified 1.61% (certified mill test) is low for a limestone. For freeze-thaw climates we advise the same discipline we’d ask of any supplier: request the available test data and documented field performance for your climate zone, detail drainage so water leaves the surface, and avoid harsh chloride de-icers on any natural stone. Where a project needs maximum freeze-thaw margin above all else, we will say so plainly and point you to our black basalt instead — recommending the right stone matters more to us than selling this one.

From Our Selected Quarries to Your Site
We Quarry It. We Cut It. We Deliver It. Citadel Stone works quarry-direct: we quarry, template, manufacture and handle the logistics through to delivery, at our selected quarries and our own fabrication services. That vertical reach is why container-scale programs land on schedule and on specification — including a 70,000+ sq ft combined white limestone and Ocean Reef shellstone supply program delivered to a single U.S. design-build firm.
Start the way most projects do: order a free sample of the varieties on your shortlist, or request a quote with your formats, finishes and quantities — we return pricing against your exact specification.
