Your size. Your thickness. Your finish, confirmed for this stone.
We cut this stone to the dimensions and thickness your project calls for. Brushed is our signature finish, from a coarse 16 grit to a fine 80, or finer to order. Most of our limestone and basalt can also be supplied sawn, honed or bush-hammered; polished, tumbled and split-face are made on selected stones. Tell us the size, thickness, finish and use, and we’ll confirm what this stone can be made in. Looking for another color? See the full collection.
Planning a laying pattern? See which of our formats suit herringbone, French pattern, running bond, stack bond, basketweave and fan layouts in our paver laying patterns guide.
Ships by pallet or container to any US state · Lead time quoted per order
Suitability varies with size, thickness, finish, and substrate. Tell us your application when you request a quote and we will confirm the right specification for it.
Bedding: full-bed sand and cement mix or a flexible adhesive appropriate to the substrate.
Joints: from 3 mm for sawn tiles; wider for split-face setts and cobbles.
Sealing: a quality impregnating sealer is recommended for limestone and shellstone; basalt and granite typically need none.
Cutting: wet saw with a diamond blade.
Installation requirements differ by stone and format — a product-specific method note is included with every quote, and our team is available for your installer’s technical questions.
Pricing improves materially with quantity: pallet rates beat per-piece pricing, and full-container rates beat both. Every quote is calculated quarry-direct, with no distributor margin in between.
Distributors, stone yards, and retailers: our Trade & Wholesale Program covers container-load pricing, recurring supply schedules, and private-label production.
Orders ship by pallet or full container to any US state, with kerbside delivery to the nearest safe access point. Lead times depend on stone, finish, and quantity, and are confirmed with your quote. Samples reach any US address within five working days.
Every crate is inspected and photographed before dispatch — if anything is wrong on arrival, contact us and we will make it right.
Brushed 36 Grit is the outdoor all-rounder of the Crema Argento range. A medium-coarse abrasive brush gives this cream limestone a clearly textured, fully matte surface. It has more grip than our 80 grit and more comfort than our 16 grit, so one finish can cover a patio, a pool deck, and the garden paths between them.
Grit numbers describe the brush: the lower the number, the coarser the abrasive and the deeper the texture. In this stone, the finishes run from smooth to rugged:
At 36 grit you can easily see and feel the texture, and it is still comfortable for walking, standing, and lounging.
The stone is identical across every grade: a cream-ivory ground with brown-led veining threaded with cooler silver-grey. Only the surface changes. At 36 grit, the vein edges look slightly softer than on the honed or 80-grit faces. The silver threads read mainly as cool grey, with small glints where a facet catches the sun. The overall look is natural and settled, like stone that has always been outdoors. Vein weight and the brown-to-silver balance vary from piece to piece, so dry-lay from several crates and mix them as you lay.
For pool steps, steep ramps, and areas that stay soaked, move up to the Brushed 16 Grit. A common layout uses 36 grit across the deck and 16 grit on the steps: one stone, two textures.
Around the Pool
Pale limestone stays noticeably cooler underfoot than dark paving in summer sun, which is why it is a long-standing pool-deck choice. Three habits keep a limestone pool surround in good condition:
For commercial or public pools, share the project’s requirements with us before ordering.
The Brown Veins and Water
The brown veins contain iron. Iron can slowly darken, but only where water sits on unsealed stone for long periods. A deck that drains and a sealer that is kept up prevent this, so the veins stay the color you chose.
Routine care is short. Sweep, wash with a pH-neutral stone cleaner when needed, and keep acids off the stone, including vinegar, citrus, and acidic patio products, because they etch limestone.
Crema Argento is used outdoors year-round in mild and temperate regions. If your area has hard, repeated winter freezes, send us your location before ordering. We will review drainage, bedding, and sealing for your site. If full freeze-thaw exposure makes limestone the wrong choice, we will tell you and suggest basalt instead.
Any size and thickness is cut to order, including pavers, tiles, coping, and step treads, quoted in inches or millimeters. Crema Argento is quarried in the Middle East, quarry-direct and hand-selected, and ships by pallet or container to any US state and worldwide, with lead times quoted per order. Start with a free sample, and compare it with the 80-grit and 16-grit samples in your own daylight, wet and dry.
