Your size. Your thickness. Your finish, confirmed for this stone.

We cut this stone to the dimensions and thickness your project calls for. Brushed is our signature finish, from a coarse 16 grit to a fine 80, or finer to order. Most of our limestone and basalt can also be supplied sawn, honed or bush-hammered; polished, tumbled and split-face are made on selected stones. Tell us the size, thickness, finish and use, and we’ll confirm what this stone can be made in. Looking for another color? See the full collection.

Planning a laying pattern? See which of our formats suit herringbone, French pattern, running bond, stack bond, basketweave and fan layouts in our paver laying patterns guide.

Ships by pallet or container to any US state · Lead time quoted per order

  • Floors, patios & terraces
  • External use (from 20 mm thickness)
  • Walls, cladding & facades
  • Pool surrounds & wet areas
  • Driveways (30 mm+ setts and pavers)
  • Steps, copings & edging

Suitability varies with size, thickness, finish, and substrate. Tell us your application when you request a quote and we will confirm the right specification for it.

Bedding: full-bed sand and cement mix or a flexible adhesive appropriate to the substrate.
Joints: from 3 mm for sawn tiles; wider for split-face setts and cobbles.
Sealing: a quality impregnating sealer is recommended for limestone and shellstone; basalt and granite typically need none.
Cutting: wet saw with a diamond blade.

Installation requirements differ by stone and format — a product-specific method note is included with every quote, and our team is available for your installer’s technical questions.

Pricing improves materially with quantity: pallet rates beat per-piece pricing, and full-container rates beat both. Every quote is calculated quarry-direct, with no distributor margin in between.

Distributors, stone yards, and retailers: our Trade & Wholesale Program covers container-load pricing, recurring supply schedules, and private-label production.

Orders ship by pallet or full container to any US state, with kerbside delivery to the nearest safe access point. Lead times depend on stone, finish, and quantity, and are confirmed with your quote. Samples reach any US address within five working days.

Every crate is inspected and photographed before dispatch — if anything is wrong on arrival, contact us and we will make it right.

Fossil Beige Limestone Cobblestones — Real Fossils, Any Finish

Fossil Beige is a beige-to-cream limestone full of real marine fossils: shell fragments, coral, and other remains of an ancient sea floor. As cobblestones, it brings that detail to driveways, garden paths, and courtyards. Our standard size is 8″ × 4″ × 4″ (20 × 10 × 10 cm). We cut any size and any finish to order.

The Fossils Are Real

Every mark in the stone is a fossil, not a printed pattern, so no two cobblestones look alike. Some pieces are rich with shells; others are calmer. Draw from several crates while laying, and the fossils spread evenly across the area.

How the Finish Changes the Fossils

The finish decides how much fossil detail you see. You can compare them in close-up photos on our stone finishes page.

Sawn and honed: flat faces that show the fossils most clearly. Best for paths, terraces, and courtyards.
Brushed (16 to 80 grit): the brush wears the softer stone faster than the hard shells, so the fossils stand slightly proud. Coarser grits give more grip.
Bush-hammered: an even, pitted texture with high grip; the fossils become a quieter background.
Tumbled and split-face: made on selected stones. Ask us and we’ll confirm them for Fossil Beige.

Where It Works

Driveways and entrance aprons
Garden paths, walkways, and courtyards
Pool surrounds, where the pale stone stays much cooler than dark paving
Borders, edging, and lawn edges
Covered porches and garden rooms

Limestone Under Cars

Limestone is softer than basalt, but at 4 inches deep these cobblestones handle residential driveways when laid on a proper base (see the FAQ below). For heavy or commercial traffic, send us the details and we’ll confirm the thickness and build-up.

Care and Stains

Seal the cobblestones after installation with a breathable impregnating sealer, and renew it on the maker’s schedule. It makes oil drips and tire marks far easier to remove. Acid cleaners are never safe on limestone.

Sizes and Ordering

Every size and thickness is cut to order: cobblestones, cubes, borders, and matching Fossil Beige pavers and tiles. Fossil Beige is quarried in the Middle East, quarry-direct and hand-selected, and is delivered by pallet or container across the US and abroad. Browse all our limestone cobblestones, and order free samples in two or three finishes to see how each one shows the fossils.
