$3.20

Ambra Reale – Brushed 60 Grit is a warm golden limestone threaded with fine russet veining, finished with a 60-grit brush for a soft, grippy matte. Hand-selected at Citadel Stone’s Middle East quarry, its amber-to-cream range warms patios, courtyards, pool surrounds, and garden walks — and carries the same Mediterranean glow indoors.

Every finish. Every size. Every thickness.

Brushed is our signature finish — available in any grit from a coarse 16 for maximum grip to a fine 120 for a soft, velvety sheen. We also cut sawn, honed, tumbled, split-face, and bush-hammered, in any dimension and thickness your project calls for. Tell us your specification and we cut to it.

Ships by pallet or container to any US state · Lead time quoted per order

  • Floors, patios & terraces
  • External use (from 20 mm thickness)
  • Walls, cladding & facades
  • Pool surrounds & wet areas
  • Driveways (30 mm+ setts and pavers)
  • Steps, copings & edging

Suitability varies with size, thickness, finish, and substrate. Tell us your application when you request a quote and we will confirm the right specification for it.

Bedding: full-bed sand and cement mix or a flexible adhesive appropriate to the substrate.
Joints: from 3 mm for sawn tiles; wider for split-face setts and cobbles.
Sealing: a quality impregnating sealer is recommended for limestone and shellstone; basalt and granite typically need none.
Cutting: wet saw with a diamond blade.

Installation requirements differ by stone and format — a product-specific method note is included with every quote, and our team is available for your installer’s technical questions.

Pricing improves materially with quantity: pallet rates beat per-piece pricing, and full-container rates beat both. Every quote is calculated quarry-direct, with no distributor margin in between.

Distributors, stone yards, and retailers: our Trade & Wholesale Program covers container-load pricing, recurring supply schedules, and private-label production.

Orders ship by pallet or full container to any US state, with kerbside delivery to the nearest safe access point. Lead times depend on stone, finish, and quantity, and are confirmed with your quote. Samples reach any US address within five working days.

Every crate is inspected and photographed before it leaves the yard — if anything is wrong on arrival, contact us and we will make it right.

Quarry-Direct Ambra Reale, Brushed 60 Grit

Ambra Reale is a warm golden limestone, hand-selected at Citadel Stone’s Middle East quarry and finished with a 60-grit brush. Each tile comes from the beds our team has worked for 50 years, and buying quarry-direct removes the importer and distributor margins that sit between the block and your project.

Color, Veining, and the 60-Grit Brushed Finish

The stone moves between deep amber-gold and pale cream, threaded with fine russet and rust-red veins that branch differently across every face. Soft cloud-like mottling and the occasional small natural pit give the surface an aged, sun-warmed character, and the color runs through the full body of the tile rather than sitting on it. This is a stone with real range: adjacent tiles can differ noticeably in tone, which is exactly what makes a finished floor read as quarried stone instead of a repeating print. A 60-grit abrasive brush lifts the softer material and leaves a lightly textured, low-sheen face with a soft tactile grip — relaxed and natural underfoot, and far more forgiving of daily wear than a polished surface. Other grit levels and finishes are available in the same stone.

Where Ambra Reale Works Best

This is the warm heart of our paving and cladding range — a Mediterranean gold made for open-air living, and just as comfortable indoors.

  • Patios, terraces, courtyards, and outdoor dining areas
  • Garden walkways, paths, and pool surrounds
  • Exterior wall cladding, façades, and garden walls
  • Interior floors, feature walls, and fireplace surrounds

Far lighter than dark paving, it reflects sunlight rather than storing it, so the surface stays comfortable underfoot through summer afternoons. One installer’s note we give every Ambra Reale buyer: because the amber-to-cream range is part of the stone, dry-lay tiles from several boxes and blend as you fix — spreading the variation evenly is what turns it from a quirk into the floor’s best feature. Outdoors, seal with a breathable penetrating sealer; for regions with hard winter freezes, talk to us before ordering so we can confirm drainage, bedding, and detailing for your site.

Performance and Care

Ambra Reale offers the everyday durability expected of a dense limestone, indoors and out. Like all natural limestone it is calcium-based, so it should be sealed on installation and resealed periodically — more often in exposed exterior areas — kept away from acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus, and harsh bathroom products can etch it), and wiped up promptly after spills. Routine care is a soft broom or damp mop with a pH-neutral stone cleaner, indoors or on the patio. Ask us for the current batch’s ASTM C97 (absorption) and C170 (compressive) test data if your project requires documented figures.

One honest note that comes with golden stone: Ambra Reale’s russet veining is iron-bearing — it’s where the warmth comes from — and iron-bearing limestone prefers to dry out between soakings. Around pools and other frequently wet zones, three details are non-negotiable: free-draining bedding, a breathable impregnating sealer kept on schedule, and no standing water. Detailed right, it lives happily around water; detailed wrong, any iron-bearing stone can develop rust freckling where moisture lingers. Send us your layout and we’ll confirm the detailing, with the current batch’s absorption results, before you order.

Custom Sizes, Finishes, and Ordering

Supplied in large-format tiles with custom dimensions cut to order at the quarry — specify your size, thickness, and grit and we quote lead time per order. Ambra Reale ships by the pallet or container with direct-from-quarry pricing and delivery to any US state or worldwide port. New to Citadel Stone? Request a sample of this exact 60-grit finish first — the amber range, veining, and tone vary naturally, and a sample is the honest way to judge them before a full order.
