Suitability varies with size, thickness, finish, and substrate. Tell us your application when you request a quote and we will confirm the right specification for it.
Bedding: full-bed sand and cement mix or a flexible adhesive appropriate to the substrate.
Joints: from 3 mm for sawn tiles; wider for split-face setts and cobbles.
Sealing: a quality impregnating sealer is recommended for limestone and shellstone; basalt and granite typically need none.
Cutting: wet saw with a diamond blade.
Installation requirements differ by stone and format β a product-specific method note is included with every quote, and our team is available for your installer’s technical questions.
Pricing improves materially with quantity: pallet rates beat per-piece pricing, and full-container rates beat both. Every quote is calculated quarry-direct, with no distributor margin in between.
Distributors, stone yards, and retailers: our Trade & Wholesale Program covers container-load pricing, recurring supply schedules, and private-label production.
Orders ship by pallet or full container to any US state, with kerbside delivery to the nearest safe access point. Lead times depend on stone, finish, and quantity, and are confirmed with your quote. Free samples reach any US address within five working days.
Every crate is inspected and photographed before it leaves the yard β if anything is wrong on arrival, contact us and we will make it right.
Every finish edits a stone. Sawn edits least. This is Crema Aurora exactly as the blade leaves it β level, unworked, quietly matte β and on a veined stone that restraint is a decision with a payoff: nothing stands between the eye and the drawing.
A sawn face carries the least intervention of anything we sell: no brushing, no polishing, just the plane of the cut with the faintest parallel whisper of the blade across it. Those hairline kerf traces are the finish’s signature, not a flaw β proof of a real cut through real stone β and they sit beneath notice once the floor is down. What the eye keeps instead is contrast: the brown iron seams and grey sediment lines of Crema Aurora shown at their fullest strength against the cream ground, unmuted by texture.
Veined stone gives the installer a decision quiet stones never ask: which way does the drawing run? Align the dominant veins loosely in one direction and the floor flows like slow water β calm, directional, elongating a room. Rotate pieces freely and the energy scatters β livelier, more improvised. Neither is wrong; dry-lay a section both ways and let the space vote. Larger formats reward the flowing approach, because longer vein runs get room to travel.
On figured stone the grout is a design material. Choose a greige or soft mid-brown sitting inside the vein family and the joints enlist in the composition β the grid dissolves into the drawing. Bright white does the opposite, ruling lines across the artwork. Keep joints modest, sample the grout against a real tile, and decide in daylight.
Honesty about the trade: sawn is the smoothest surface in this stone’s family, so the places where feet meet water β pool sides, wet walkways, slopes, exterior steps β belong to the brushed grades, whose texture was cut for that work. Choose sawn where the floor’s job is to be looked at and lived on, not climbed wet.
The brown veins are iron seams, and iron only misbehaves where water never leaves. Drained details plus a maintained breathable impregnating sealer keep the veining permanently in the color column. That, a pH-neutral cleaner, and a lifetime ban on acids are the entire care story β limestone’s rules are short.
